Mariborsko Pohorje

Accommodation Mariborsko Pohorje - private accommodation, hotels, pensions

Pohorje is a mountain between Dravograd and Maribor with its highest peak being Črni vrh. Maribor’s Pohorje is, together with Krvavec, the biggest ski resort in Slovenia, and it is most well known for the Wold Cup competition “Zlatna Lisica” that is held there and has a long lasting tradition. Maribor’s Pohorje is only 6 km away from Maribor and 141 km from Ljubljana. In case of lack of snow, snow canons will ensure at least 100 skiing days. Night skiing with torches on the trails altogether 7 km long is made possible on Maribor’s Pohorje. Here you can find skiing and snowboarding schools, as well as snow kindergarten for the youngest. The ski resort is not recommended for snowboarders because the number of trails is limited. Ski competition “Zlatna Lisica” is being held in January on this ski resort.
