Bjelašnica is a ski centre, 25 km away from Sarajevo, on the mountain with the same name, known for the Olympic dive from the year 1984. Bjelašnica is the highest ski centre in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The highest peak of Bosnia and Herzegovina is the Maglic mountain with its 2386 meters above sea level. The ski resort offers 8.345 m of ski trails for all alpine disciplines. The trails are very attractive and wide, finely evened and quite long. Bjelašnica has the steepest trails of all mountains in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Skiing school is organised in the ski resort, and there is also the ski equipment rental possibility. It is a popular tourist destination for mountain hikers and skiers. Bjelašnica is, after Jahorina, the second Olympic mountain in Sarajevo’s surroundings.
